General Information

The conference will take place between September 28 and October 1, 2010. The program will be structured in five sessions reassembling five topics in microbial communication. Each session will be introduced by a keynote lecture followed by selected talks given by PhD students. Between the sessions there will be coffee breaks sponsor exhibitions.

Workshops

Have you always had the impression that the coffee breaks during a conference are too short to address all your questions to the invited Professors or to exchange your ideas with other participants? Then it’s time for your to take part in one of our "Meet the Expert” workshop. They will provide you a great opportunity for personal contact with highly experienced researchers and also company managers for discussions in small groups about recent scientific topics and with a lot of time for your questions. Take the chance to find out about current methods, get inspirations for your own research project or also talk about the every day's passion of science.

Workshops will be during breaks of the regular conference program so that participating in a workshop does not mean you will miss one of the talks. The number of participants in the workshops is limited to 15 persons. Seats will be provided upon registration on a first-come-first-serve-basis. So if interested, please make sure to use our registration form to register in time.Workshops are limited to 15 persons and subscription is given on a first-come first-serve order. Please register for the individual workshops with the help of our registration form.

Poster Sessions

We will have a poster session for each of the five topics of our conference. Every PhD student will have the possibility to give a short poster presentation. The best poster presentation will be awarded with a wonderful poster prize. In contrast to other conferences the jury will be the PhD students themselves. Thus, each PhD student will have the opportunity to vote for the best poster and the presenter with the most votes will finally win the poster prize.
